When I suggested to one of the organisers that I wrote a song for this years Bellingham Show, I was delighted to be taken up on it! I researched the history of the event, wrote the song, contacted all the local schools, taught every child the song, then made a start on rehearsing the adult singers in the community at The Cheviot Hotel (where the Show was first held!) Lots of fun was had by all and the performance on the day was terrific! To watch this one-off performance click HERE or to hear the draft version I used to teach with click HERE.
“The combination of children and adults was brilliant and the whole thing was totally memorable. If you ever have any more musical projects, we would love to be part of them.”
Amanda Lewis (Head Teacher at Greenhaugh and Wark First Schools)
“The song is wonderful. I love the humour, tone and the way you’ve captured the essence of what the show is about.”
